These images belong to every human being that has lived in the United States of America from 2000 – 2012.
This exhibit is a series of collages representing significant images and words used in the media that Americans witnessed during the past 12 years.
When 9/11 happened I could not stop seeing the events of that day because they were everywhere I looked, television, newspapers, magazines and tabloids in the lines at the grocery stores.
I started putting videos in the recorder and capturing documentaries and political debates of current events.
This exhibit is an attempt to share what WE saw and the hidden connections found in the last 12 years. It is also an invitation to remember and empower ourselves as active citizens, by peeking behind the curtain and building together the reality we want to live in.
WHAT HAPPENED: Human beings have become information processors. Our behavior and feelings can be calculated and managed by numbers.
The numbers took on a power of their own, which began to create new forms of control. RESULT: Greater inequalities based on the power of money through Public Relations (P.R.) A.K.A. Propaganda.
