Year 2012: Health / GMO "Suffering Depression"

Year 2012: Health / GMO “Suffering Depression”

In 2012 health care spending in the US accounted for 16.9% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) one the highest in the world and yet the United States is the only industrialized nation that does not have a universal health care system.

Year 2012: “CNN Get Your Flu Shot”

Year 2012: “CNN Get Your Flu Shot”

CNN news pushed us to “Get our flu shots” by telling us: “50,000 people expected to die this year from flu related deaths. Get your flu shot NOW, supplies are running low.”

The vaccination industry is blossoming in spite of their suspected serious side-effects.

Year 2012: “Cancer Warning Sign”

Year 2012: “Cancer Warning Sign”

I went to a popular restaurant with my parents where I saw a sign that said “Warning Chemicals know to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm may be present in food or beverages sold or served here”.

I asked other guests waiting for a table if anyone had seen this sign before. Three people responded yes and gave me separate locations. We went to our table and ordered our meals. Reflecting later I wondered why we all stayed and ate in spite of the clear warning. We are becoming numbed to dangerous environments.

Year 2012: “HR 933 Monsanto Protection Act”

“HR 933 Monsanto Protection Act”

Ever hear the saying “You are what you eat”? There is a strong connection to the food we eat and our health.

MONSANTO PROTECTION ACT (March 2013): Our president tells us that the government can’t balance the budget and mainstream news was telling us that unless congress passes bills quickly the government will shut down.

Buried 78 pages within a spending bill known as “HR 933” is a provision know as the “Monsanto Protection Act” This provision protects biotech corporations such as Monsanto and is an example of corporations bending Congress to their will.

HR 933 does not allow Federal Courts to stop the sale or planting of controversial genetically modified (GMO) or genetically engineered (GE) seeds.

HR 933 reads there is no liability to the producers of GMO or GE seeds for health risks they cause the people and environment. No Liability!

What do we have in common?

The public does not expect this abuse of power.

4 indicators of being poisoned by genetically modified foods

INFLAMMATION – ALLERGIES – ECZEMA – CANCER!

Year 2012 “Protest Monsanto”

Year 2012 “Protest Monsanto”

Scientists, consumers, environmental and farmer protection advocates argue there have not been enough studies into the potential health risks of GMO seeds and food. Studies are showing risks to the population are present.

Many members of Congress were apparently unaware that the “Monsanto Protection Act” even existed within the bill they were voting on. HR 933 was a spending bill aimed at averting a government shutdown.

How come the public has become numbed down to this abuse of power where a corporation governs the will and health of the people?

WHAT has Monsanto developed that is going into our agricultural system?

Why do they get to produce genetically engineered crops without federal safeguards that protect human and environmental rights?

Year 2012: “Conflict of Interest”

Year 2012: “Conflict of Interest”

Monsanto/Pfizer

By the early 2000’s Genetically Modified Food ingredients become installed in 2/3rds of US processed foods. Where were our elected leaders when decisions were being made that affect the health of the nation verses profit for the corporations?

Monsanto is owned by Pfizer: Pfizer is the world’s richest pharmaceutical company.

It seems like a clear conflict of interests when the company that produces medicine that makes us feel better owns the company that produces food that makes us sick.

1901 – 1997 – MONSANTO COMPANY – Chemical Conglomerate
Merged in 1997 with Pharmacia & Upjohn to form Pharmacia Corp.

2000 The merge is complete creating the parent company name Pharmacia.

2002 Pharmacia spun off it’s Monsanto Company subsidiary into a new company called Monsanto. Pharmacia is acquired by Pfizer and it includes Monsanto.

MONSANTO and Globalization:
In 2003 during the beginning of the U.S. Occupation in Iraq, an American Diplomat named Paul Bremer was put in charge of establishing new laws and order for the Iraqi people.

Paul Bremer was in Iraq for 13 months and signed 100 executive orders.

Paul Bremer / Executive Order # 81

“PATENT, INDUSTRIAL DESIGN, UNDISCLOSED INFORMATION, INTEGRATED CIRCUITS AND PLANT VARIETY LAW“.

Prohibits Iraqi farmers from using their own seeds and forcing them to buy seeds from multinational corporations based in the US and Europe. “Hello Monsanto”

Our taxpayers founded invasion made it possible for Monsanto to expand its GMO market to Iraq.

Day 16 (20 day story) year 2012 Part 4.

2012 / DHS (Department of Homeland Security)

2012 / DHS (Department of Homeland Security)

After the first Gulf War (Papa Bush) a law was passed in 1994 (Clinton) authorizing the Pentagon to donate surplus military equipment to local police departments.

Since 1994 millions of pieces of equipment designed for use on a foreign battlefield have been handed over for use on U.S. streets, against U.S. citizens.

The Pentagon has distributed M-16s, M-14s, grenade launchers, armored personnel carriers, tanks, helicopters and airplanes to civilian police agencies across the nation.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was created as a direct result of 9/11 and first initiated by President George W. Bush.

The 9/11 attacks provided an excuse for auxiliary militarization of America’s police departments. Some police departments switched to battle dress uniforms instead the traditional police uniform.

Psychological Operations: Critics say subtle changes like a more militarized uniform can change both public perception of the police and how police see their own role in the community.

The military’s job is to protect against a foreign enemy. Police are charged with keeping the peace and protecting the constitutional rights of American citizens and residents. It’s dangerous to combine the two.

That is why the U.S. passed the “Posse Comitatus Act” in 1878, a federal law that forbids the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.

2012 DHS True / False

2012 DHS True / False

Department of Homeland Security is giving grants to police agencies across the country to purchase vehicles like the Leno Bearcat, modified armored personnel carrier that sells for about $250,000 each.

2012 DHS Report Suspicious Activity

2012 DHS War is Business

2012 DHS War is Business

2012 – DHS grants have led to a booming law enforcement industry that specifically markets military-style weaponry to local police departments.

– The Department of Homeland Security (through the U.S. Army Forces Command) retrofitted 2,717 ‘Mine Resistant Protected’ vehicles.

– They retrofitted vintage MaxxPro vehicles that were first Designed in 2007.

– Business is good, Navistar International continues to anticipate new vehicle capabilities and enhancements for its entire fleet of 32,000 vehicles.

2012 DHS Shoot to Kill

2012 DHS Shoot to Kill

DHS has recently purchased 7,000 automatic assault rifles, calling it a “Personal Defense Weapons Solicitation” and it has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, this amounts to about 5 bullets for each American Citizen.

2012 DHS EAGLE IT Contracts

2012 DHS EAGLE IT Contracts

DHS has a contract award program called Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE).

EAGLE Contracts: Indefinite, delivery, quantity contracts for IT support.

Day 14 (20 day story) year 2012 Part 2.

Year – 2012 / Underlying Structures

75. 2012 2.4 Million Behind Bars

Year – 2012 / “ Prison”

2012 – “2.4 Million People Behind Bars”: More than 1 in 100 adults in the United States were in prison or jail, plus 5 million more were being monitored through probation or parole.

04/22/2012 – CBS NEWS: U.S.A. has close to 5% of the world’s population and holds 25% of the world’s prisoners. Ironically, our Land of the Free has the highest incarceration rate of its citizens than any other county on earth, including the most repressive dictatorships.

Statistics show that more than 50% of prisoners once released will be back behind bars within 3 years.

76. 2012 Prison Habitation

Year – 2012 / “ Prison Habitation”

The cost of incarcerating one inmate averages between $30,000 and $60,000 per year, the equivalent to a teacher or firefighter’s salary. Our epidemic of incarceration costs US taxpayers $63 billion dollars a year.

QUESTION: If crime rate is down more than 40% over the last 20 years, WHY do we have more prisoners in jail?

NOTE: Forty two (42) years ago our political system declared the “War on Drugs.”

Forty five (45) MILLION arrests have been made costing over $2.5 trillion dollars and causing collateral damage to society.

Non-violent offenders make up over 60 percent of the prison and jail population.

Nonviolent drug offenders now account for about one-fourth of all offenders

77. Borders 1

“ Borders ” Why are our borders being walled off?

78. Borders 2

“Borders” Republicans have said repeatedly they would not support a comprehensive immigration bill unless it stopped foreigners from illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.

79. Borders 3

“Borders” Are we being shut in or shut out?

80. Borders 4“More Borders”
