About the artist

My artistic career started in the 70’s as a stained glass artist producing architectural glass internationally. In the early 1980’s I pioneered an industry sand carving and hand painting large wine bottles for wineries and the corporate gift market.

I have a passion for studying ancient history. During the 1990’s I had the opportunity to participate in archaeological expeditions in the Middle East, Far East, Central and South America with the late scholar and author Zecharia Sitchin. There I saw evidence of sophisticated ancient cultures and noticed contemporary conflicts from different sides of many cultures.

At home I suspected that our corporate media was spinning reality to advance its own interests. Before Y2K (2000) I started collecting significant images that represent key events and emotional reactions in the American Media. These images and words were presented by the MEDIA and PR firms to the American people. We saw them on TV, billboards and the internet, in newspapers, magazines, and tabloids. We saw them whether we wanted to or not. These images have turned into 13 collages representing “American History 2000 – 2012”. I’m still surprised every time I look at the work that’s completed. They tell a story and I want to share them. It’s become eye awakening to notice who benefited from the quick decisions we took while in a state of collective panic.

This collection is an attempt to remember and share what we saw the first 12 years of this new century. It is also an invitation to empower ourselves as active citizens, by paying attention and building together the reality we want to live in.

“American History 2000 – 2012′ is a Visual Media History of America’s 21st Century.

There are thirteen (13) panels that are a retrospective of the most memorable images portrayed by the American media in 2000 –  2012.

The 14th panel is called “The Grid”. It shows statistical data of the things that happened to us, who benefited and who finances them.

This woman is wise beyond her years, she see’s things as they are, she is not easily tricked. the knowledge which she encompasses is truth, raw terrible truth. she collects and passes this on as a service to us all, it is difficult , her path. we need her and her wisdom to correct our path , to see truth, and to progress. thank you gaye for all you do, for me , you are a hero, a bright light, and i thank you….rhonda jean chadwick, your student in spirit and in life…i lift you up…..always
